Gretchen and Alan's engagement session

I photographed Gretchen, Alan, and Pepper (the American Bulldog) last week for a fun engagement session. I am a little partial to this posting and it's bigger than most because I have two American bulldogs myself. They really are the best dogs! Pepper is so lovable and cracked me up. Gretchen and Alan live in Northern Liberties and I have been trying to do a shoot in the architectural exchange for years now and they agreed on the location. We explored the store but just had to be careful not to damage any antiques. I love the look of the old and grungy setting mixed with beautiful pieces. Thanks guys for "sneaking" the shoot in there!
Gretchen and Alan are getting married next August at Ballroom at the Ben.

Of course she wanted to get up. All American bulldogs think they are lap dogs!

She's a kisser!

Too funny, Pepper wanted to drive.

She got very upset with me when I separated her from mom and dad for one photo. She looks very angry here but just talking to me.

She cracks me up, the teeth get caught on her lips just like my dogs!

O.k. a little upset with the camera now!

Separation anxiety again!

Can you believe they put me in a pig outfit!?

Thanks guys for such a fun shoot! Too bad we can't bring Pepper to the wedding!

I can't believe what a small world it is! You shot Lan's engagement session the month before my wedding...and it's been decades since we were buddies. Those are great pics Heather but, then again, so are all of your shots!
