Last week I photographed Dashiell at age 2 months old. This is my friend Meredith's baby. I am really happy for Meredith. She had a difficult time with the pregnancy and I spent many days by her side when she was on bed rest for so long. She is now reaping the rewards of being a mom. Dashiell is perfect and getting so cute and chubby. He behaved during his photo session as long as he was well fed. (We took many feeding breaks and he also peed on everything!)
He loves to stare at mom. Meredith is a great mom already and he is really lucky to have her!

Best of 2008 and new website!
My new website www.heatherfowlerphoto.com is up and running today! It showcases lots of new photos and has more info than my old site. There are lots of galleries to view so check it out! The new site is more personal and has a natural feel to it. My new logo also has some symbolism in it for me that you can read about on the site too.
So it's a new year and new beginnings. I have a lot to be thankful for from 2008 including lots of great clients and getting married myself. I have dreams and goals for 2009 for both my business and personal life. Some are: hopefully getting a new studio space so I can do more baby and maternity shoots, and explore some new shooting techniques. Shawn and I hope to find a building we can both work out of some day. I also look forward to continuing to teach in my community and have some new ideas for my students at Centro Nueva. I continue to value my relationships with other photographers and hope to learn and work with them all more this year. Last night I hooked up with some old friends and want to do more of that in the new year.
The most important goal is to stay close with my family and friends and nurture all the relationships I cherish. I also found out I have a new niece or nephew on the way! Last, but not least, we should all have hope for a better future and embrace all the changes that lie ahead with our new president.

Walking the dogs #3
Shawn and I explored some on Sunday while walking the dogs. We walked around an abandoned building off the tow path in Manayunk. These massive graffiti pieces can be seen even from the highway route 76, they are so huge! I love exploring old beaten up spaces. The graffiti was funny, the character sort of looks like my dog blue with his tongue out.
Saw this crane or loon. He seems sort of out of place by the canal.
