I photographed Candy and Caleb's engagement session downtown the other week. They actually are getting married and live in California but wanted to have some Philly photos while visiting. They both met at Penn so they have a history together in the area. Sometimes I worry about meeting someone for the first time on a shoot, but Candy and Caleb were so friendly and easy to photograph it was a breeze. We photographed in the early evening around 6:00-7:30 so the sun made such beautiful shadows, reflections and warm light.

We even got a rainbow!

Jennifer and Joseph's wedding
I photographed Jennifer and Joseph's wedding at Penn Ryn Mansion on August 18th. I had a ball photographing all the flower girls and ring bearers. The children really hammed it up for the camera. Speaking of hamming it up, so did Joseph, the groom! He had a sense of humor that kept me laughing all day. It was really cute how he loved to play with the children too. He was a bit over dramatic in some of the photos but it kept me laughing all day. Jennifer made her own veil which I thought was cool. It was cut squared off on the bottom with the same detailing as on the back of her dress. Click here to see more on my website from this wedding.

I just love this photo! These girls were sooo cute!

They really got a smashing!

Maggie and John's wedding
I photographed Maggie and John's wedding this past Saturday, August 11th. They really lucked out with the weather since the heat wave broke. This couple was referred to me by mutual friends, Katie and Frank, who I have to thank for giving me such an awesome couple to photograph. Maggie made my job easy since she is so naturally beautiful and never took one bad photo all day. She smiles at everything! We went to a new location for me in Philly for portraits, called the Belmont Plateau in Fairmount park. It has a great view of the city sky line. The reception was in Gladwyne at the Philadelphia Country club. It's a great room there and can hold a lot of people, they had 300 or so guests! It felt like all 300 people were on the dance floor towards the end of the night, this crowd could party! Click here to see more or purchase photos on my website.

Tammy and Carter's Ocean City engagement session
I had soooo much fun on this shoot, it wasn't like working at all! I photographed Tammy and Carter's engagement session in Ocean City , NJ. I am photographing their wedding next May at the Dupont Country club. Tammy was really excited about having these photos! She even had a videographer come along too! Tammy grew up going to Ocean City where her grandmother had a house when she was little. My grandmother also took me to Ocean City when I was little so it was a memory lane trip for me too. We hung out and went on lots of rides, ate Mack and Manco pizza and went on the beach. I am really excited about photographing this couple's wedding because I feel like they are friends now. They also had Dave from Dvideography come along and get video footage of this fun shoot, check it out here, it's awesome!

This is Dave from DVideography. He had lots of great ideas too for us to shoot!

Melissa and Rich's wedding
I am finally getting around to blogging about my July 14th wedding, it's been a busy summer! I photographed Melissa and Rich's wedding at The Hill School in Pottstown, PA. Rich went to school there and what an ideal location for a wedding, where do I begin! There is the cutest chapel right on the campus, beautiful gardens and architecture for formals, and the modern art building with huge windows for the reception. I loooved shooting here! Melissa and Rich were really laid back and fun. The photos were important to them so they were up to anything. I enjoyed all the children in the bridal party as usual, they cracked me up all day. Click here to see more on my website.

Sarah Miller, my second shooter got some great images here of the bride and her father right before entering the chapel. This is always a great moment and it can be captured only when you have a second shooter.

I just love the space of this building!

The FM band I had never heard before. They rocked! They are now officially my favorite wedding band and I've heard a lot! The lead singers voice is amazing. It was very appropriate for them to play "It's getting hot in here" as the last song because it was a hot sticky night and the air did not work so good. It just added to the atmosphere of the dance party!

Baby Teagan
I had so much fun photographing baby Teagan! Brook, her mom called me after seeing Meranda and Bob's wedding photos and pregnancy shots. She wanted photos around Teagan's 1st birthday and hopes to have me back every year around the same time to document her growth. Teagan gave me smiles the whole time, not one tear. She's just such a happy baby and has the nicest parents. We went over to the Abington Art Center and took some photos among the sculptures too. It was really hot so Teagan had a swim in her baby pool at the end. Of course I had to get some photos of the family dog too.

Vermont vacation
I just came back from a great vacation in Vermont. I go up there every year to visit my father and my best friend Sarah lives there now too. She just bought property and is building a house, which we helped on for one day too. It's so beautiful and relaxing in Vermont and everything smells soooo good. My dogs got to do lots of swimming and and running free in the forest. I think they have doggy hang overs from too much fun!
