Lindsay and Eirik's wedding

I photographed Lindsay and Eirik's wedding October 27th at the Knowlton Mansion, one of my favorite places to shoot. It was rainy and dreary when I woke up that day, so I was not very motivated about getting good outdoor photos. As soon as we arrived to Knowlton the clouds dispersed and the sun came out. We had some incredible light coming through the windows as Lindsay got dressed. She even went out in the mud to get outdoor photos. Thanks Lindsay for being a "low maintenance" bride and getting those great shots! Eirik was so cute, he could not stop kissing Lindsay all day. Misty shot with me again and had lots of good lighting ideas like back lighting the cake. Click here to see more photos on my website from this wedding.

I am in looove with this shot! It was taken in the wine cellar and I put the flash behind them.

Christine and Geoff's wedding

I photographed Christine and Geoff's wedding on October 20th. It was a small event with just family only. But, just immediate family was over 40 people! Christine is one of 8 children. Everything about this day was perfect, the ceremony, the weather, the beautiful crisp light, my awesome assistant Misty, and of course the sweetest bride and groom. I experimented a lot with some images to make them look old and antique using layers and textures in photoshop. I thought Christine would like that.
I am jealous, they are in Aruba right now, my favorite place on this earth!

Misty took this photo with her cool macro lens.

Yes it was an early morning wedding!

I would of loved to have shoes like these when I was little!

Christine told me all of her sisters got married in this church and have a photo by the statue of Mary. She was very set on making the photo exactly like her sisters. So I wanted to make Christine's a little different and antique looking. Don't worry Christine we have it plain too!

It was her idea to be fake thrown off the bridge!

This was a bridge and park Christine played at when she was little, so I hope these photos have a nostalgic feeling for her.

tons of bubbles!

Oops got some on that great dress!

Looking forward to shooting Christine and Geoff's reception party for friends on November 17th!

Julie and Matt's wedding

On October 13th, I shot Julie and Matt's wedding at the Crystal Tea Room in the old Wanamaker building. I had never shot there before so I was really excited. The ceremony was at Old St. Mary's. Everything was beautiful that day. Julie and Matt had us do portraits in the Independence park area which I just love. Joy Moody was a second shooter for me and she is so awesome! I like how she sees angles and certain moments different than I do, it made the wedding images really fresh for me! Here's a link to her blog post about this wedding. Click here to see more images from this wedding on my recent event link on my website.

Joy got this one of the shoes, soooo cute!

Julie wore her mom's veil which was long a dramatic with beautiful detail.

Wow, what a lot of work rounding up all the flower girls!

So funny, this little girl was helping out by telling every to look at me.

This shot was so hard to get!

I just love photographing the light in the fall.

One of the groomsmen hired the Eagles pep rally to come pay a visit. Matt is a huge eagles fan!

The night got kind of crazy towards the end, this crowd could party!

Alison and Richard's wedding

I photographed Alison and Richard's wedding last Saturday at the Whitemarsh country club. Alison looked like a doll in her dress. I think she has the cutest dimples when she smiles. She told me her dress weighed 12 pounds! It was a chore to lug it around, but it did not matter, she looked stunning. Richard's sister wants to fly me to Cancun to shoot her wedding next June, but I am already booked! oh well! Click here to see more on my website from this wedding.

I have to give a "shout out" to my friend Chris Houston who got some great shots of Alison entering church. Chris and I have been helping each other by exchanging second shooting for one another. I love working with lots of different photographers. Chris actually taught me a lot about the D200 when it first came out years ago. Thanks Chris! Maybe Richard's sister will fly you to Cancun next June!

The ring bearer cracked me up all day! What a bunch of energy he has!

Alison may be mad at me for posting this image of her eating a pretzel, but I love a little comedy!

Molly and Skylar's party

Last Sunday I photographed, what is called in the Jewish tradition, as a baby naming ceremony. Then I hung around afterwards for some fun candids. Molly and Skylar are the cutest sisters. They are so lucky to have such a sweet family and lots of grandparents! All the children running around had a blast.

Linda and David's engagement session

Linda and David met in Rittenhouse Square so we headed back there for their engagement session. I am photographing their wedding at Glenn Foerd in June and they seem so excited to be getting married!

I think she looks really hot in black and white!

Linda and David are not from Philly originally so I wanted to walk around with them a little and show them some great spots. We stopped at the Academy of Fine arts on Broad st. It's beautiful architecture makes it one of my favorite buildings.

playing hookey

Last Tuesday afternoon we took off work a little early and went out on the Delaware river to go fishing. Shawn's brother has a boat that is about to go into storage for the winter so we had one last boat ride before the summer is over! It's been so warm I have been loving it. One of the perks all three of us have being self employed is taking off in the middle of the day, I guess that makes up for no life on the weekend. Anyway I am not usually a big fan of cheesy sunset photos but I had to post some, I just can't believe how beautiful it was on the Delaware that night.

I finally met Lila!

My friend Beth came home for a visit with her 8 month old baby Lila. Beth moved to Mexico 3 years ago to live in Playa Del Carmen, she's so lucky! I just love visiting Beth! Anyway I saw her in December when she was about to pop but never visited after Lila was born. She's such a cutie! Beth already is such a good mother and described to me her life now has all changed, but that it is all worth it. She says having Lila is like no other feeling in the world.

This is Beth at 9 months pregnant in Mexico.

This is on her wedding day, which I of course photographed. It was my first sample album and really helped me in developing my business.

Jennifer and Timothy's wedding

Jenn and Tim's wedding was on September 22nd at Knowlton Mansion. I met them both at a menu tasting Knowlton holds once a month for the future brides and grooms. It is always nice of Knowlton to invite me to these so I can show off my albums and meet potential clients. Jenn and Tim are both very sweet ,down to earth people and I really enjoyed being a part of their day. I am so happy for them in many ways! To see more images from this wedding on my website click here.

I thought this was funny. Apparently one of the groomsmen had to give confession before the ceremony and these guys are trying to listen in, chuckling.

Jenn was nervous looking before the ceremony but beautiful the way this light hit her veil.

They were all troopers for hanging out in a park on such a hot day. You really can't tell though, we were all sweating!

Thanks, Jenn and Tim, for being so easy going and letting me be creative with your wedding photos!
