Brian and Fred's Downtown club wedding

Brian and Fred are old friends so when they asked me to photograph their wedding I was honored. They got engaged one and a half years ago and when it became legal in PA for same sex marriages they were even more excited! From watching them through the planning process, to being such a huge part of their day just made me so happy for them. The ceremony was one of the most touching I've ever attended and I had to shoot it through teared up eyes! Even throughout the portrait session and getting ready I could feel the true love and devotion Brian and Fred have for each other. With photographing two men I wanted Brian and Fred's photos to be "masculine" and non traditional but still treat it the same as all my other experiences. As the day began it became SO true that love is love. That plain and simple. They seemed to mesh with each other in photos and the experience just flowed. Of course adding in a cute dog to the photos made me happy! Brian and Fred LOVE their dog Susie.
The Downtown club's new caterers Cescaphe events did an amazing job as did Synergetic sounds!

Chris and Nicole's Downtown Club wedding

I photographed Chris and Nicole's wedding at St. George's United Methodist church in Old City and the reception at the Downtown Club. It was calling for rain all day long but during the hour of portraits the rain actually stopped. It could not of been more perfect walking around Independence park that day with fallen leaves and glistening cobble stones. The white umbrellas were a fun touch too!
