Lauren Greenfield lecture
I saw one of my favorite editorial photographers, Lauren Greenfield, speak today at the University of the Arts. I have loved her work for over 10 years now and saw her speak before when her career was just starting out. It was amazing listening to her speak about her newest film called Thin, a documentary for HBO about anorexia. You should really check out her website. I get stuck on it for hours.

my office/show space
I have not posted much this winter, so it's about time. I have been working on lots of new album samples and framing options for this year. I also got my new D-300 yesterday and some new lenses, so I tested it out in my office/show space. I am really proud of this space because I painted it all myself 5 years ago and still remember the dreams floating around in my head while I was painting. It seems 5 years has breezed by so fast and I am already anxious to have a bigger and better space!
I am getting excited about the upcoming wedding season which looks pretty full! My first wedding of the season is on March 14th so I get to play with all my new equipment, can't wait!
My office is on the second floor of my home. There is a separate entrance to it from the rest of the house which is convenient, (that way people don't get jumped on by the dogs!) I think the second floor use to be a separate apartment.

This is a clothbound book with ribbon called The Sante Fe by Album Crafters
some magazines my photos have been in
I am excited to offer new canvas wall prints! Your photo can be printed on canvas and then you can see how it wraps around the edges. You do not need to pay for extra framing, it's ready to hang with a very modern look! I just love these square ones. I did artwork on them with an old wallpaper texture, these look great on canvas!

The one on the left is my grandmother at about age 20. We look alike. She ran a music coffee house in the 60's and 70's called the Main Point, so the photo in the middle was taken at her messy desk. The photo to the right was Shawn and I kissing in a park in Rome in 1995.
I played around with my new macro lens to show off some of the details around my office.
My favorite part of this room is the bay windows. I get lots of light and keeps work cheerful! I am pretty lucky to come to work here everyday!
It is gloomy out to day so I was hoping some flowers help.

a doggie weekend in Diaz Creek
It was our 14 year anniversary last weekend! We could not go away somewhere warm like I wanted, but Shawn and I took a mini doggie vacation to our friend's shore house in Diaz Creek, NJ. I think the main reason I like going here is because they allow me to bring my dogs (most people would not want these beasts in their home!) So it is really nice of them. They have a great piece of property with a huge yard that backs up to an open field and it is near the bay. Despite the cold weather my dogs had a blast! The dogs go swimming no matter what the temperature!
Jody's expression of pure delight is the whole reason to come here!

I took the ones below last summer of Rob and DeVaughn's place. I love their yard!

Today is a good day!
This post is on a personal level, but I have to post some photos because I am so happy and excited for my boyfriend Shawn and his brother. We all bought a house together about a year ago in Mt. Airy to fix up a resell. Well, today it is done and on the market! You will see from these before and after photos how hard they worked on this project. They saw the potential in something most people would run away from and they made something beautiful of it! It is amazing what they have done, I am so proud of them!
